All proceeds made from our silent auctions will be donated to the Food Bank for New York City. We have two outstanding Cunard cruises available for our silent auction. An auction is like a sale--You have a chance of buying one of the cruises described above by making a bid, that is, you offer an
amount of money that you would be willing to pay. Another person may come by and want the same cruise so he/she may offer more money, making a higher bid. At the end of the auction, the person with the highest bid goes wins the cruise. It will be as simple as signing a sheet and placing your bid. However, we need this to be taken seriously, please do not bid or make outrageous bids if you cannot or will not follow through with the purchase. This is one of the major fund raising events for The Food Bank of New York City we are holding on the June 28, 2010 sailing and we need bidding to be done by only those who will follow through with payment. |
